Early ABA Support in Van Nuys
For young children, learning often starts with play and everyday routines. We work with your family to choose useful, achievable goals and build an individualized plan at home or in our Van Nuys clinic.
We speak English, Spanish, Russian, and Armenian.
Small steps that matter at home
Communication
Practice asking for help, making choices, or requesting a break using the communication methods that work for your child.
Play and participation
Use your child’s interests to create opportunities for shared play, turn-taking, and exploring new activities.
Everyday routines
Break a family priority, such as washing hands or putting toys away, into manageable steps.
Caregiver involvement
Practice strategies with your team and discuss what fits your family between sessions.
What might a session look like?
For example, a child who enjoys building blocks might practice asking for another block, choosing a color, and putting blocks away. The team adjusts the activity, prompts, and breaks to the child’s response. This is an illustration, not a standard session or promised result.
Questions about getting started
Does my child need a diagnosis before I contact you?
You can contact us to discuss your questions. Requirements for an assessment or covered treatment depend on the funding source and clinical circumstances; our intake team can help clarify the next steps.
How many hours will my child need?
A BCBA makes individualized recommendations after assessment and discussion with your family. There is no single schedule that fits every young child.
Is this the same as a public early-intervention program?
No. Our ABA services are separate from California’s public Early Start program and school-based services. Ask your pediatrician or local public program about other supports; our team can explain our own services.
